New Book Celebrates Little Falls' Bicentennial
Historic photographs bring back memories for Little Falls area

In 2011, Little Falls will be celebrating its impressive feat of turning 200 years old. After starting as a village in 1811, Little Falls became Herkimer County's only city in 1895.

To help commemorate Little Falls birthday and share some of the city's rich history, local authors Susan R. Perkins and Caryl A. Hopson takes readers on a nostalgic journey down memory lane through over 200 vintage photographs.

Susan R. Perkins is the executive director and Caryl A. Hopson is the administrative assistant at the Herkimer County Historical Society. With the help of volunteers, they have selected some of the best images from the society's photographic collection, as well as from the collections of community members and organizations, to create Images of America: Little Falls. This is the authors' 3rd book together with Arcadia Publishing. About the authors of Little Falls.
