Eat, Stink and Be Merry Today
The festival showcases locally grown or handmade products. Thousands attend the aromatic festivities in Sterziner Park at Canal Place, on the Erie Canal, with more than fifty vendors selling their wares. Our garlic vendors have been part of the festival for many years, and this year, will be joined by specialty food vendors, herb plant and product vendors, juried “green” artisans, and a fine selection of locally produced food product vendors. This year’s festival promises to offer the very best of the locally grown and produced garlic and herb products. A $3.00 donation per person or $10 family/group rate at the gate supports the festivel with 1/3 supporting the Mohawk Valley Center For The Arts. Free parking with shuttle bus service is available. Completely accessible, fun for the whole family!
In 2012, The Mohawk Valley Garlic & Herb Festival was pleased to announce a donation of $1,686.25 to the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts. MVGHF asks for a $3.00 donation at the gate and the donations given are used to keep the festival self-supporting. The arts center is given one-third of the donations for its hard work hosting the festival. The festival committee is delighted that the Mohawk Center for the Arts will continue its work in our community, in part, due to our donation. A special thank you to the approximately 2,045 people who visited our 2012 festival. We had a record attendance and anticipate an even better year in 2015. Eat, stink and be merry! |
