The
festival showcases locally grown or handmade products. Thousands
attend the aromatic festivities in Sterziner Park at Canal Place,
on the Erie Canal, with more than fifty vendors selling their wares.
Our garlic vendors have been part of the festival for many years,
and this year, will be joined by specialty food vendors, herb plant
and product vendors, juried “green” artisans, and a fine selection
of locally produced food product vendors. This year’s festival promises
to offer the very best of the locally grown and produced garlic
and herb products.
Live music featured Last Year (2011) included:.
The Dependents,
a musical group of teenagers from Fort Plain, specialize in modern
country and classic rock. Their sound is characterized by highly
technical instrumentals, classic rhythms and powerful, sweeping
vocals.
Blueprints,
a local, Mohawk Valley group, plays real American music - a combination
of blues, rock, swing, boogie, R 'n B, and folk. (Find us on Facebook!)
A $3.00 donation
per person or $10 family/group rate at the gate supports the festivel
with 1/3 supporting the Mohawk
Valley Center For The Arts. Free parking with shuttle bus service
is available. Completely accessible, fun for the whole family!
