Little Falls Art Walk Third Thursday, June 21st, 2018
The Art Walk begins at the Little Falls Public Library at 3:30pm with a children’s art activity. From there, guests can travel down Main Street to view numerous art exhibits, wrapping on West Main Street with live music. Each will be clearly marked with balloons to help guide people through the Art Walk. The exhibits will showcase artwork created by Little Falls students as well as many local artists. GlassBarge to port in Little Falls June 30th to July 1st, 2018
The Corning Museum of Glass, will be commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Brooklyn Flint Glass Company, that relocated to Corning via the New York State waterways, by recreating the voyage with GlassBarge — a 30-foot by 80-foot canal barge equipped with the museum’s patented glass making equipment. The Brooklyn Flint Glass Company eventually became Corning Incorporated.
The GlassBarge will start its four-month tour on May 17 at the Brooklyn Bridge Park, offering free public glass making demonstrations at each scheduled stop, as it travels north along the Hudson, west on the Erie Canal and into the Finger Lakes. See the GlassBarge story on youtube.

July 1st)
, Sylvan Beach, Baldwinsville, Fairport, Lockport, Buffalo, Medina, Brockport, Pittsford, Seneca Falls and Watkins Glen. A ceremonial last leg of the trip will take place by land, concluding in Corning, NY with a community-wide celebration on Sept. 22.

“We are beyond excited that The Corning Museum of Glass will be spending a weekend at Rotary Park as part of their Glass Barge tour,” said Little Falls Mayor Mark Blask in a news release. “The city’s Tourism Committee, in conjunction with our local partners, will ensure this is a first-class experience for all involved.”

Little Falls Cheese Festival, Saturday July 14th, 2018 - 10am - 5pm
The Little Falls Cheese Festival was created to showcase New York’s artisanal cheese makers and gourmet food producers, as they gather to celebrate the historical roots of Little Falls. Enjoy a day of cheese vendors providing a wide range of high quality artisanal and farmstead cheeses, produced in the Mohawk Valley and upstate NY. Enjoy music, theatre and much more. A Mid Summers Night Picnic, Third Thursday July 19th, 2018
Midsummer’s Night Picnic in historic Canal Place. Community members are encouraged to pack their own picnic and bring a picnic blanket. Food will also be available for purchase from local eateries. There is a Makers Fair beginning at 4pm for the opportunity to make a masquerade mask, build a fairy garden, or create a floral hair wreath to name a few. Kids may take part in classic kids’ races including a three- legged race, egg and spoon race, and sack race. Outdoor summer lawn games including Bocce, Crochet, and Badminton. Little Falls Canal Celebration, August 5-11, 2019
This Annual Canal Celebration, spanning 31 consecutive years, represents our recognition of the community, our heritage and the spirit that makes Little Falls a unique place in the Mohawk Valley. Canal Celebration has welcomed thousands of visitors to Little Falls, attending dozens of family oriented community programs, held throughout the week. There is something for everyone., craft fairs, children’s rides and events, live music, a car show, a 10k and 2mile kids race and, of course, great food. Mohawk Valley Garlic & Herb Festival, Saturday, September 8, 2018
The festival showcases locally grown or handmade products. Thousands attend the aromatic festivities in Sterziner Park at Canal Place, on the Erie Canal, with more than fifty vendors selling their wares. Our garlic vendors have been part of the festival for many years, and this year, will be joined by specialty food vendors, herb plant and product vendors, juried “green” artisans, and a fine selection of locally produced food product vendors. This year’s festival promises to offer the very best of the locally grown and produced garlic and herb products. A $3.00 donation per person or $10 family/group rate at the gate supports the festival with 1/3 supporting the Mohawk Valley Center For The Arts. Free parking with shuttle bus service is available.
